Music policy

a.  Marriage is a sacrament. 

b.  Music during mass/service:

i.) expresses the relationship of God to humankind
ii.) reflects the message of the scripture readings.
Therefore: secular and popular music are Not appropriate. 

c.  Couples should plan on using Incarnation’s musicians. 

d.  If the couple wishes to use visiting musicians (soloists, instrumentalists, and keyboardists) they must first seek the permission of the music director. A Music Coordinator will oversee the flow of liturgy and music on the wedding day when visiting musicians are present. There is an additional fee for this service. 

e.  All fees (including the honorarium for the priest) should be given to the wedding coordinator at the beginning of the wedding rehearsal.
